A roll of sod measures 18" X 72" or 9 sq. ft or 1 sq. yd. Measure area length times width in feet. This gives you an area in square feet, then divide by 9. This gives you the area in square yards. A roll of sod usually weighs about 45 - 50 lbs., depending on moisture. It is shipped on pallets measuring 4' X 4' with as many as 65 yards per pallet. For delivery sod is shipped by our semi-tractor trailer, and we require a minimum order of 500 yards. Call and place order the day before. We can usually accommodate same day business. For install estimate call and arrange a visit to your site. For Customer Pickup A full size pickup can haul 70-80 yds. (no camper shell) A 1 Ton flatbed can haul approximently 200 yards. (no side boards please) A 2 Ton truck with a 16 ft or longer bed can haul approximently 400 yards. (no side boards please)
